Did this one last July for a thing called "Blobfest" which is a big street fair thing held every year in Pheonixville where the original Blob was filmed. They show the movie at night in the theater that was featured in the film, "The Colonial Theater". It's alot of fun.

Anyway, this art just got published in Monster Bash magazine this past month, it's a great mag. If you like those classic horror films you should check it out.

I just went through the Pennsylvania town of Royersford where most of it was shot (also in Pottstown). The trailer is a gem "Starring Stewve McQueen and a host of exciting young people!"

I've seen quite a few monster movies in my day (which is still occuring). Wanna hear what they are?

Thanks for allowing and thus contributing this and other pieces for the Kaijuden galleries. I've always enjoyed your simplistic, yet retro fan art to the whole spectrum of pop culture, but the giant monster stuff was a must have for the group.

And is there any chance we'll see more of your awesome shout outs to American monster movies, not unlike "The Blob" illustration...maybe a salute to the "Fifty-Foot Woman" or "Seventh Voyage of Sinbad"?

Blob is a classic, I ate at the diner where the films climax occurred once (I am only a half hour from Pheonixville)

Have you ever gone to "Blobfest"? They do it every July in Pheonixville, it's a hoot.
